Cavanaugh Tocci is seeking a highly motivated audiovisual system designer  to join our team. We are a prominent consulting firm in the field of acoustics, noise control, audiovisual and theatrical systems design. Located in a suburb of Boston, our firm is well known in the architectural and engineering community with a 45‑year history of providing excellent service and elegant engineering solutions. We have worked on many award-winning projects at large corporations, prominent universities and other institutions.

Job Title: Audiovisual Consultant

Job Description

  • Perform needs-analysis through user interviews to define and refine design goals.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, vendors and end-users.
  • Review and coordinate work of contractors through project completion.
  • Prepare design documentation including project reports, budgets, sketches, drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical and structural requirements with architect and engineers.
  • Collaborate and work closely with project technical team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Three to eight years experience in audiovisual consulting
  • Industry certifications such as CTS and CTS-D a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and AutoCAD required
  • Revit experience highly desirable
  • EASE and other acoustical modeling software highly desirable
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills
  • Team player who works well and collaboratively with others
  • Ability to travel as required
