Emily Cross joins CTA

Emily Cross has joined the technical staff of Cavanaugh Tocci Associates, Inc. as a Senior Consultant. Emily brings valuable experience from previous engineering positions with two different noise control manufacturers. Her previous position was product development and applications engineer for duct silencers at Vibro-Acoustics Limited. Emily’s experience in acoustics also includes three years in technical support at Vibron Ltd. (duct silencers) and work with John Swallow Associates Ltd., an acoustical consulting fi rm in Toronto, Canada.

Emily has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics, and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Toronto. She is also a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.

Emily’s work at Cavanaugh Tocci Associates, Inc. will focus on noise control for building mechanical systems, and environmental sound from outdoor mechanical equipment.

Emily is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Institute of Noise Control Engineers. Her interests include Zen meditation, Aikido, and violin.
