---------------- Featured Projects ----------------
These three projects illustrate the range of audio systems our Sound System Group has designed. They demonstrate our capabilities with projects of different types and sizes. Each project includes innovative design solutions to support the program requirements and fit the building architecture.

Arlington Street Church
Boston, MA
(Goody Clancy Associates)

This project involved sound reinforcement system design and construction administration for the restoration of this historic church. Digitally controlled line array loudspeakers with beamsteering technology solved the acoustical challenge of providing high intelligibility in a reverberant space, while providing excellent clarity and a very natural sound. The speakers all but disappear into the front wall behind the altar, meeting the strict requirements of the project to avoid adding new components that would change the appearance of the sanctuary.

Agganis Arena + Sport Recreation Center
at Boston University

Boston, MA
(CANNON Design)

This new sports complex includes a 6000-seat sports and performance arena, plus the main recreation center for Boston University. Cavanaugh Tocci provided services from conceptual design through construction administration. In addition to the usual challenge of providing high quality sound throughout the 6000-seat arena, separate sound systems in different areas of the building had to be controlled under a common digital audio control network. The buildingwide system is fully integrated with video scoreboard, broadcast studio, broadcast systems, and video coaching systems.

Adams Courthouse - Massachusetts Supreme
Judicial Court / Appeals Court
Boston, MA
(CBT Architects)

Cavanaugh Tocci designed sound systems and provided project management for all AV systems for the highest courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The project included a new courtroom for the Supreme Judicial Court, and rehabilitation of three historic appeals courtrooms. For the seven justices in the Supreme Judicial Court, loudspeakers were integrated into the desks, and provide an attractive system with high speech intelligibility. The single justice courtroom systems include rear screen projection systems for educational and teaching purposes. Two special systems added in the middle of the project include a sophisticated server based digital audio recording system (for archiving and quick retrieval of court proceedings), and a state-of-the-art webcasting system for broadcast of court proceedings on the internet.
