Sound Systems are a vital part of the acoustical experience in many buildings, and Cavanaugh Tocci Associates has been involved with sound system design since our inception in 1975. In the past few years, our staff and capabilities have expanded to meet the growing demands of our clients and the increasing complexity of audio systems.

Matthew J. Moore: Matt is a Principal Consultant and leader of our sound system group. His projects involve design, consulting, documentation, and construction administration for sound reinforcement systems. He also provides consulting for room acoustics, building noise, and environmental noise measurements. Typical projects include theaters, auditoriums, worship spaces, athletic facilities, courtrooms, and outdoor systems. Matt graduated from the University of Hartford in 1995 with a BS in Engineering, Acoustics & Music.

John T. Foulkes: John joined the firm in 2002 as a Staff Consultant. His primary responsibility is sound system design, including loudspeaker modeling, CADD drafting, and specification writing. He also does work in environmental monitoring and instrumentation. John has a BS degree in Computer Engineering from UMass, Lowell, and previously attended Cornell University. John is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Audio Engineering Society.

Michael D. Maynard: Mike is a Senior Consultant specializing in the area of sound system design. His projects involve design consulting and system layout using CAD and loudspeaker modeling software. Mike’s projects include worship spaces, performing arts and theatre, paging systems, and outdoor systems. Mike joined the firm in 2005 with twelve years of experience in audio systems design and installation. His experience also includes significant work in theatrical lighting and rigging systems. Mike studied sound recording technology at UMass, Lowell. He is a member of the US Institute for Theatre Technology.
